Enders' Fluid Bed Chemical Recovery Systems

The Fluid Bed Chemical Recovery System is a proven, low cost process for safe and environmentally responsible disposal of industrial waste. Both organic and inorganic chemicals in plant effluent are oxidized with the latter being recovered as small pellets.

Sodium carbonate for example, is recovered from black liquor in soda pulp mills. Black liquor is a water slurry containing both organics, which are oxidized and inorganics, which are recovered as pellets. Inorganics can be recovered from most waste water streams containing them; sodium sulfate can be recovered from dye intermediate waste solutions in dye production facilities, calcium nitrate, calcium sulfate, magnesium sulfate etc can be recovered from waste solutions in the chemical industries and sodium carbonate can be recovered from caustic waste solutions in the oil refining industry.

Incineration temperature is limited (1350oF for sodium carbonate) by the recovered inorganic's melting point, however complete combustion of flue gas occurs in an oversized freeboard chamber, providing required residence time at incineration temperature. The lower the incineration temperature the larger the freeboard chamber.
