Process Description:
Enders Fluid Bed Add-On Processes For Overloaded Furnaces and Increased Pulp Production

Proven, cost effective Fluid Bed Add-On Processes to provide relief for overloaded Kraft-Liquor-Recovery Furnaces, and can also produce "as needed" incremental increases in pulp production. Basically the process uses a Fluid Bed to handle the oxidation stage instead of oxidizing in the recovery furnace devoting more of the furnace to the reduction stage.

For overloaded furnaces, the Fluid Bed Add-On Process provides you with off-load liquor equivalent to 200 tons/day or more of pulp. You reduce the risk of smelt-water explosions, reduce existing furnace boiler blockage, reduce sodium and sulfur losses, and eliminate air pollution problems.

For incremental increases in pulp production, the Fluid Bed Add-On Process operates efficiently on liquor recovery rates equivalent to 25-50-200 tons/day/pulp. Operate one to seven days per week with this simple process design. The process has been proven with six years of continuous full scale operation.

Enders offers specially designed add-on processes to provide proven and cost-effective relief for overloaded kraft liquor recovery furnaces which can also provide for increases in pulp production on an as needed basis.

  • Provides off-load liquor equivalent to 200 tons per day or more of pulp.
  • Provides incremental increases in pulp production, operating efficiently on liquor recovery rates equivalent to 25-50-200 tons per day of pulp.
  • Significantly reduces the risk of smelt-water explosions, furnace boiler blockages and reduces sodium and sulfur losses, while eliminating air pollution problems.
  • Investment paybacks in as little as 2-3 years.
