Incinerators - Dual Stage Rubbish
Enders' Dual Stage Incinerators are custom designed for the application. For example a wholesale meat supplier receives the product in paper drums. After removing the meat for distribution, the drums are incinerated.
Since paper drums are 21" diameter by 33" high and have metal support rings on each end, a 36" square swinging door and chute for continuous or batch feeding is mounted within a larger 4' x 7' door. For removal of the metal rings plus other non combustibles accumulating on the grate, the main door is opened giving access to non-combustibles on top of the grate as well as ash accumulating under the grate
In addition to containing a swing door for feed on top, the main door also contains a combustion air louver damper on it's bottom. Since this damper controls combustion air flow to the first stage the rate of burning there is also controlled. This starved air combustion produces a lot of carbon monoxide and smoke but the flow of gas leaving the first stage as well as particulate carry-over is minimized.
Complete combustion of the gas from the first stage occurs in the second stage where temperature is controlled at the set point (above 1400oF) using a natural gas burner equipped with a combustion air blower.
With the main door open, large objects (wood crates & boxes, pallets etc) can be pre-loaded on the grate. With main door closed and second stage above 1400oF the first stage gas fired burner ignites the combustibles loaded and combustion proceeds at a rate determined by the position of the combustion air damper.
The incinerator installed outside on a concrete pad, is vertical and requires no production space.
